After trips to Chicago and New York the idea of Pockets began to form. In order to find unique quality childrens clothing you had to travel. If these stores could be successful in New York, Chicago, San Francisco, and Los Angeles, why not Yuba City? Surely there must be other people like us who want quality clothing for their Kids. The idea was tossed around for awhile but nothing serious happened. Then while on a lunch date with her husband, Erin spotted the perfect site for such a store.

With encouragement from her husband, a lease was signed in February 2007 and so the journey began. Professionals were hired, consultants consulted, and trips to New York and Los Angeles to make sure the store would be stocked with the absolute hottest fashions. Opening in July 2007 and carrying the same designer brands often only found in the distant big cities, Pockets – A Hip Kids Boutique.

With an Associates Degree in early childhood development and having spent the last 9 years as a stay at home mom (retired in her mind), Erin is now on a mission to bring Hip Clothes to Yuba City and beyond through her flagship store in historic downtown Yuba City as well as pocketskids.com.
